The truth is…
The truth is, today I don’t feel brave. I don’t feel inspired. I don’t feel inspiring or purpose-led or like I’m making a difference in this world.
The truth is, today, I just want to switch off the computer, turn my phone off, and curl up under the duvet with a large bar of chocolate.
It’s easy to show up when I’m feeling brave, when I’m feeling full of energy, when I have clarity on the difference I make.
But it’s easy, sometimes, to feel that it’s all too much. To wonder what difference I’m actually making in this crazy world. To wonder where on earth I’m headed. It’s easier, sometimes, to stay quiet, to stay small.
And, I know I’m not alone. Which is why I try to keep showing up, in all my imperfectness. In all my not-good-enough-ness. In all my haven’t-got-it-all-sorted-ness.
Because who, actually, DOES have it all sorted?
In spite of my imposter syndrome and not-good-enough-ness, I keep doing my thing. I use the tools that I teach my clients, and no, they don’t make every single day magical and courageous and productive, but they do make every day easier. I have way more magical days and on those days that are less than magical, well, I now know how to look after myself and relax into the trust that there are plenty of magical days ahead. These tools have made a massive difference to my life and I know they make a massive difference to my clients. And so, I keep showing up.
Because what happens to the world if none of us act, because we don’t believe we can make a difference?
What happens if we don’t try to make changes, because we fear we’ll fail.
What happens if we always say “one day”, and “I’ll do it when….”?
What could happen if instead we stepped up said “I’m scared, but something has to change.” “I don’t know where I want to end up, but I know it’s not here.” “I don’t know what I want, but I know I want more than this. And today, I’m going to do SOMETHING about it.”
One small step.
It’s all it takes. The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step.
And yet, that step can be hard. It can be scary. It takes courage.
I’m here to guide you. To reach out and hold your hand and help you feel brave enough to take that first step. To see where it might take you.
It’s just a step. You get to choose your journey.
But you’ve got to take that first step.
Does this resonate? Come and chat to me. I’m here, I’m listening. I can help you. Drop me a message and let’s explore – if I’m not right for you, I bet I can recommend someone or something that is! But, take that first step.
And I’m in awe of your courage. Yes. You’re more courageous than you know!
Let’s chat xx
